Holiday firm Hotel Connect entered into administration today (28th June 2011), with nearly 7000 forward bookings.
According to Travel Weekly, the travel newspaper, an ABTA spokesperson has been quoted at saying that Hotel Connect were "acting as a supplier and that all bookings should be honoured".
Full details regarding the failure is still to emerge, however, whilst Hotel Connect were members of ABTA for it's direct custom ABTA expect customers to try and claim through their credit cards before claiming through the ABTA service.
