The House by Elegant Hotels is a fantastic hotel located in the gorgeous St. James area of Barbados' Platinum Coast. It is a pretty and intimate boutique property in a serene and beautiful beachfront location. The pretty grounds offer a peaceful and relaxing haven for you to unwind and enjoy the Caribbean sun. You will be spoilt for choice as to what do, whether it is sunbathing on the stunning white beach while sipping a cocktail or getting stuck in with one of the complimentary water sports, everyone will be kept entertained. Away from the hotel, there are several excellent golf courses nearby and Bridgetown, the capital, is just a half hour drive away. You could quite easily spend your whole holiday enjoying the resort, however Barbados has a lot more to offer and the hotel can help you arrange several excursions. From tours of rum distilleries, to hikes through dense jungles and trips through gigantic subterranean caves, there is more to Barbados than you may realise.

##Location
The House by Elegant Hotels is located next to the palm fringed beach, one of the stunning Platinum coast beaches on the west coast of the island where you feel like you're in paradise. Why not chill out in the sun with your loved one or you could try some of the complimentary water sports on offer including snorkeling, surfing, sailing, kayaking and motorized water sports at the Tamarind by Elegant Hotels, a sister hotel of The House by Elegant Hotels in St James. Other beautiful beaches in the resort include Pratts Rock beach, Sandy Bay and Discovery Bay if you fancy a bit of variation on your holiday to Barbados.
If you're in to shopping, then check out the capital of Bridgetown on your holiday to St James where there are a number of duty-free shopping opportunities. For those of you who enjoy golf, you'll be pleased to hear there is a world-class 18-hole golf course in the resort. If exploring is more your thing, why not discover some of the historic plantation areas on the island or head to one of the rum distilleries to pick up some supplies. Fun non-beach activities include horse riding, tennis and paragliding or for those who enjoy being on the water try some deep-sea fishing or diving. In the evening head to the famous St Lawrence gap for a late night of dancing on your holiday to St James.

The House by Elegant Hotels offers luxurious suites which are stylishly decorated in a modern and minimalistic fashion. All are excellently equipped with marble bathrooms, safe, mini-bar, air-conditioning, cable television, hair dryer, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and internet connection (payable locally). Free wi-fi is available in public areas.

##Eating and Drinking
In a stunning location with tropical surroundings, Daphne's restaurant offers the finest Italian cuisine with fine wines and a great selection of other drinks. It is open from 12.30-10pm.

The hotel offers a complimentary champagne breakfast in the lounge between 7.30 and 10.30pm.
