Hotel Overview
Located in the town of Curigna in the charming Calabria region of Southern Italy, the Rocco Nettuno Garden is a great place to stay whilst you explore this stunning, unspoilt area in the Italian Mediterranean that has so far been overlooked by most tourists. In spite of this, the Rocco Nettuno Garden is a large and extremely well-equipped hotel, where guests will find all the facilities and services they may need for a comfortable, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday.
Rooms at the hotel are comfortably furnished and decorated in a classic Mediterranean style, and come with a balcony or terrace offering amazing views of the hotel's gorgeous surroundings. Special mention should be made of the hotel grounds, which feature an array of beautiful gardens filled with trees, flowers and statues. The highlight of these is the lovely pine grove through which guests can walk the 300 metres down to the beach.
Whether you enjoy spending your holidays relaxing in the sun, or prefer to spend your time partaking in more active pursuits, the Rocco Nettuno Garden can accommodate you. The sporting facilities are extensive, including several tennis courts, a small football pitch, a fitness centre and table tennis and archery facilities. There is also an option to rent a mountain bike and explore the surrounding woods and hills, or join one of the hotel's biking tours.
If all this sounds a bit too much, you can simply relax with a cocktail by the hotel's large pool area, or sunbathe on a lounger at the nearby beach. Or why not indulge yourself at the hotel's wellness centre, offering saunas, whirlpool baths, massages and a range of spa treatments. Children are catered for too, with a mini-club for kids aged 4-12, where they can enjoy a wide array of activities under the watchful eyes of hotel staff, giving their parents a chance to relax and soak up the sun.
##Location
The region of Calabria is historically one of the poorest and most underdeveloped in Italy. It is also home to some of the most beautiful scenery and dramatic coastlines in the Mediterranean, and whilst the local economy has improved significantly in recent years, it is still relatively unblemished by modern developments and the tourist trade. Particularly worthy of a visit is Dino Island just off the coast, with its amazing Grotto Azura (Blue Cave).
##Accomodation
All rooms come with a private bathroom, air-conditioning and heating, a TV and a balcony or terrace. Some of the larger rooms and suites come with extra amenities such as a mini-fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
##Eating and Drinking
There is a choice of four restaurants at the hotel, offering a variety of local Italian dishes in addition to international cuisine. There are also five bars on site, including a poolside bar, a disco and the Bar Piazza offering a variety of live music. In the summer months, a bar and pizzeria are open on the beachfront.
##Swimming Pools
There is a very large outdoor pool area, with sections for both relaxation and activities
