Local tips: The tranquil area is a haven for nature lovers and countryside walks. The shoreline boasts of the best swimming and diving spots around the islands. Paradise Bay and Mellieha Bay, the Island's two largest sandy beaches can be found 1 km away. Gozo Ferry terminal is 1 km away can be reached by a short ride on the public transport or by a 30 minute walk from Riviera. The closest village is Mellieha situated 5 km away and can be easily reached within 5 minutes by car or public transportation. A number of shops, banks, pharmacies, bars and restaurants can be found in Mellieha Bay and Mellieha Village.Please note: Eco Tax of 0,50 € per adult (18 ) per night (maximum 5,- € per adult per stay) is required to be paid locally. The Tax will become effective on 1st April 2016.
