The hotel is perfectly placed as a gateway to the Whisky Experience, just a 5-minute drive from Grantown-on-Spey. Within a very few kilometres, guests will find distilleries and cooperages, and the famed Spey water runs right past the the front of the hotel. The Cairngorms National Park is on the doorstep with wonderful mountain walks in the summer and skiing in the winter. Visitors can go dolphin-watching or just enjoy a walk along the beautiful sandy beaches of the Moray Firth, which is within a 1/2 an hour's drive of the hotel. They will find restaurants, bars and nightspots, in addition to links to the public transport network, a 15-minute drive away in Aviemore.
