Located on Spain's golden coast of Costa Dorada, Comaruga is a popular resort that is popular for its proximity to the airports of Barcelona and Reus, and has become a favourite choice for families and couples looking for a relaxed holiday. There are some wonderful golden sandy beaches provide brilliant places to soak up the swim, with calm waters perfect for swimming and always a variety of water sports to try.

The resort has a small shopping centre providing all the holiday essentials including gifts and souvenirs for a variety of local goods such as leather, food, ceramics and jewellery there is an open market every Tuesday and Saturday at the nearby village of Calafell. More serious shoppers however need only take a short trip to Barcelona where you can find everything you could possibly want. The resort also has a good variety of restaurants and bars that cater for the most tastes with both Spanish and international cuisine on offer. The nightlife as this is a more family oriented resort is pleasantly low key, where some of the best evening out involve a pleasant stroll along the promenade or enjoy a meal and drink under the stars.

There is also plenty to do near the resort suitable for adults and children, apart from the water sports you can find several golf courses in the area including the Golf la Graiera Club, which is an interesting choice for both amateurs and professionals. Alternatively for a truly exciting day out for the whole family you can also visit the Aventura Theme Park, one of the biggest in Europe with many awe-inspiring rides not for the feint-hearted.

The Marvel Coma-Ruga Hotel has three swimming pools with including an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool in the SPA centre and also an outdoor pool for children.
