Situated not far from the nunnery of San Francisco de Asis, this complex enjoys a convenient location between the convent square and the old square. Terminal de Ferrocarriles de la Habana train station and Viazul bus station are both just steps from the hotel, making it easy for guests to explore the area further. The residence used to be the mansion of the Marquis and Captain of the French Navy, Don Pedro Claudio Duquesne. Once visited by the most select nobility of the time, ecclesiastical dignitaries, military authorities and renowned artists. The house has rooms with exclusive ambiance, a lobby-bar that is decorated with pieces of art, stained-glass windows, statues of monks made out of copper and altarpieces, as well as a quiet inner courtyard with a beautiful fountain and an old well.
