Hotel Overview

The luxurious JW Marriott Essex House New York first opened for business in 1931. Now a Manhattan landmark, the hotel has just enjoyed a 90 million dollar refurbishment, in keeping with its art deco heritage. The hotel is nestled between the beauty of Central Park and the buzz of Broadway on Central Park South. There are 509 luxurious non-smoking guest rooms and suites, some of which feature breath taking views of Central Park and Manhattan.

##Location
The midtown area is a great location for a New York City break. The Carnegie Hall and Central Park are a block away from the hotel. Carnegie presents dozens of vocal and symphonic performances each year from some of the world's finest orchestras and solo performers whilst Central Park offers a true urban oasis, which includes a zoo, running and biking trails, playgrounds, ball fields, and an ice-skating rink during winter months. It is also a great place to enjoy a picnic or one of the famous horse-drawn carriage rides. Walking tours of Central Park are available to hotel guests and take in all the park's most popular attractions.
