Ocho Rios is a wonderful place for all kinds of holidays, whether you are looking to try out of some of the many activities available in the area such as water sports and excursions or simply looking for a more relaxed holiday browsing the shops or relaxing on the fantastic beaches. Some of the exciting activities available in the area include bike tours, river rafting and also see some of the impressive sights such as the Dunn's River Falls, a tour through a Jamaican agricultural property and the Coyaba River Garden and Museum. The nearby town of Ocho Rios was once a fishing village but now caters for tourists as well with restaurants, night clubs and shops; it is also a popular port for cruises and one of the most popular activities is the chance to swim and interactive with the dolphins in Dolphin Cove.

The 250 luxurious rooms at the resort offer guests an incredible choice of accommodation with a choice of premier rooms each with a unique theme depending on the building they are located in, including the Sapphire Mountain, Emerald Lanai, Diamond Premier, Sapphire Ocean and Diamond Ocean rooms. There are a total of 6 different restaurants to choose from while staying at the resort, each offering different types of cuisine to suit a variety of tastes.

If you are looking for a more formal dining experience such as at the Platinum Restaurant serving contemporary Caribbean cuisine, or the slightly less formal Moonstone Restaurant serving Italian cuisine and for a unique experience you might like to try the Jade Samurai with its teppanyaki-style, chop-chop entertainment right at your table. Lastly there is also the Coral Café, which has a delightful buffet service for breakfast and lunch then in the evenings offers an a-la-carte dinner service.

##Swimming Pools
The Jewel Dunn's River Resort features two epic pools, with the main pool “The Falls Pool” designed for the more active swimmer and is inspired by the area's biggest attraction, the Dunn's Falls with its impressive water feature. Guests can also use the Sunken Treasure swim-up bar for a variety of refreshments and drinks or take advantage of the pool concierge service for those who chose to stay as “Jewel Exclusive”.

For those just looking to relax and stay cool under the sun there is also “Jasper's Chillin' Pool” which has some unique features including a bridge that provides access to the island bar in the centre, along with a swim-up bar, a second hot tub and enjoy soothing jazz music in the evenings.
