Hotel Overview

The Zorbas Hotel is located in Stavros close by to Stavros beach which is world-famous for being the filming location of the critically acclaimed film ‘Zorba the Greek' based in a novel by famous author Nikos Kazantzakis.
Hotel Zorbas, named after the hero of the novel, is just a few meters from a small sandy beach in 30,000 square meters of private land. Facilities at the hotel include a tennis court, library, outdoor chessboard and sea-water swimming pool for adults with a separate children's pool. Zorbas Hotel's playgrounds in the gardens are a safe location for the children to play. The gardens are well-tended and contain a wide variety of carefully selected flowers, herbs and trees which; provide shelter for the myriads of birds which nest in the hotel grounds. Complementary Wi-Fi is also provided allowing you to have the outside world at your fingertips.
Undoubtedly, what remains unforgettable is the wide, unobstructed view of sea all the way to the horizon setting the scene for picturesque sunsets which can be enjoyed from the privacy of each room's covered veranda.

##Location
All rooms are ideally positioned just a couple of minutes from the beach where guests can take advantage of the free-sunbeds and umberellas as well as having a go at some of the water-sports on offer here.

There are also some huge children's areas within the hotels grounds with playgrounds surrounded by beautiful gardens.

The resort provides guests with - high speed internet, parking area, tennis court, outdoor chess board, fishing facilities, cycling facilities, laundry service, and car-rental services.

##Accomodation
This beach complex has a total of 53 apartments and studios, all are level with the ground with their own private entrance to the beach, most offering panoramic sea and mountain views.

Rooms are well equipped with kitchenette including microwave and cooking sets, refrigerator, air-conditioning, an LCD TV, free Wi-Fi, a complimentary safety deposit box (in-room), hair dryer, direct dial telephone, iron and ironing board, baby cot - on request basis, fan - upon request, and shower with WC. All rooms have a large and spacious covered veranda and there is a daily cleaning service which provides guests with fresh sheets and towels every two days.

The apartments also have a fireplace in the living room - firewood available during winter.

##Eating and Drinking
Situated by the swimming pool, the dining area is where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with stunning views over the Cretan Sea.

The dining area offers delicious dishes based on Cretan cuisine and prepared exclusively from local products, cooked in a traditional style.

The hotel's pool bar is available for guests to enjoy refreshing cocktails, fine wines, soft drinks, coffee and snacks throughout the day while enjoying the sea and pool views.

Barbecue night at the hotel offers outstanding gastronomic experiences with a variety of meat and salad on offer. These nights are available mostly during the summer.
