This fantastic midtown hotel is located adjacent to New York's famous Grand Central Station. Dating from the 1920s, an updated Grand Hyatt Hotel New York includes a vast marble lobby, gold columns, and mirrored ceiling. A waterfall cascades from the lobby's upper level to a marble fountain in the lower. All rooms include Hyatt's signature Grand Bed with pillow top mattresses; down comforters and an array of European, roll, and throw pillows. Contemporary decor and furnishings include pastels, dark-wood furniture including paneled headboards, and upholstered armchairs with footstools. The Commodore Grill & Lounge offers a seasonal menu of American dishes, while the breakfast/lunch restaurant has a glass wall for observing 42nd Street's heavy pedestrian traffic.
