The hotel was inaugurated in 1091, and after refurbishment finished in February 2006, we may observe its exclusive colonial style, with the ruins of a Muslim Mosque from the 8th century and a well from the same period still in use. It is surrounded by gardened areas with palm trees, outdoor and indoor pools, two tennis courts, gym and sauna.
