Hotel Overview

The historical, award winning Clontarf Castle Hotel Dublin is situated approximately 3.2km (2 miles) north of the city centre and 8km (5 miles) from the airport, overlooking Dublin Bay. The property dates back in part to 1172 and was originally built as a fort to protect the city of Dublin. Many of the original features have been maintained but following an extensive refurbishment the property now has an elegant contemporary feel to it. Just a short stroll from the seafront, yet within close proximity of the city centre, this is a charming alternative to other downtown options. Don't miss out on the History Tours which depart from the hotel lobby at 11am on selected days.
