Local tips: for a taste of the real old Manchester and its pivotal place in the world of yesteryear you cannot visit Manchester without taking in a trip to Castlefield – site of the Roman fort of Mamucium, home to the oldest first truest canal system in the world and the place chosen to be the end of the world's 1st passenger railway system which ran from Liverpool to Manchester – there is so much to see and take in here you will need a few hours at least. Parking information
On arrival, park in the hotel's car park where your car will remain throughout your holiday. The hotel offers a 24 hour shuttle service to and from the airport departing every 45 minutes. A charge of £6 per adult and £3 per child applies, payable at reception, the return journey is free of charge. The airport is a 10 minute drive away. FACILITIES:Dining: Jenny's restaurant offers breakfast and dinner from a varied menu featuring the finest of well sourced, beautifully presented seasonal ingredients complimented with fine wines. Alternatively dine at the Overstuffed Pizzeria bursting with Italian cuisine and atmosphere. The Residents Bar offers a warm relaxed ambience and the perfect place to unwind with a glass of your favourite wine, beer, ale, spirit or beverage daily from 2pm until late.
