Hotel Overview
Having undergone a complete refurbishment lasting over 3 years, the delightful, centrally located, 3-star Antigo Trovatore proudly re-opened its doors in June 2009. Located no more than 100 meters from St. Mark's Square, the family-run Antigo Trovatore offers a truly warm and hospitable welcome in cool and refined surroundings. Much attention has been paid to the quality and finish of every guestroom, and this is reflected in the elegant combination of exposed beams, white walls, wrought iron bedsteads and contemporary bathrooms; the cool, comfortable accommodation also includes direct dial telephones, air conditioning and satellite TV. Views from the rooms vary (quite a few of the rooms also have terraces) but nearly all offer some intriguing glimpse of this unique city - be it the tiny alleyways criss-crossing Venice, the Doge's Palace, the Lagoon or, quite simply, a vista of terracotta rooves and churchtowers. Personally supervised by the owner, Signora Fiorenza, the quality, ambience, friendliness, and location, of the Antigo Trovatore are hard to beat, and are only complemented by the spacious breakfast room, indoor garden and wooden rooftop terrace - perfect for a spot of sunbathing, enjoying the truly breathtaking view or a quiet drink. All in all, the Antigo Trovatore comes thoroughly recommended and can't be beaten for offering 3-star accommodation at 2-star prices! (NB. Handicapped guests should note that despite it's age and central location, the building has been equipped for wheelchair users)
