##Location
The historic centre of Ortigia island in Syracuse is a place of many fascinating and cultural sites with the ancient Mastra Rua section dating back as far as the 14th century, where the Siracusan nobility once resided, and one of the main attractions in the city is considered the Piazza Archimede, thought of as the richest and most elegant part of the city until the end of the 1960's. Even more sights to see within the historic old city surrounding the hotel include the Baroque Piazza Duomo square, with its cathedral built around the remains of the Temple of Athena from the 5th century BC, the Fountain of Aretusa where papyrus grows naturally as it does along the banks of the River Ciane, and Palazzo Bellomo dating from the 13th to the 15th century, the seat of the Regional Museum of Medieval and Modern Art. Not forgetting the city's impressive large natural port, which really shows its beauty as the sun goes down making for many a memorable moments and during the day is often alive with the market.

There are a total of 30 individually decorated and carefully restored rooms at the hotel, with a choice of accommodation including single rooms, double classic and executive double rooms, as well as junior suites, most of which offer some stunning views over the sea.
