Description:Having opened in 1308, the cavalletto & doge orselo is one of the oldest hotels on venice island. Located no more than 20 steps (!) From st marks square (the hub of venice), the hotel overlooks a canal and has its own mooring for gondalas and watertaxis; perfect for those guests wishing to arrive and travel around venice in style. A traditional 4 star propery with pleasant public areas, a bar and dining room, the hotel's amenities are complemented by the friendly, courteous and helpful reception staff who are always on hand to ensure guests experience the best in venice. The cavalletto's rooms have been furnished in keeping with venetian styles and, as one would expect in a building of this age, rooms are all shapes and sizes. A american-style buffet breakfast is available to all guests and can be enjoyed in the dining room overlooking the canal.Guests should note that local city tax is not included in the rate booked.
