This hotel is a hidden gem! Tucked away behind the main square Piazza Maggiore, the hotel offers guests a high standard of accommodation and service in a fantastic location. Rooms are quite spacious and decorated in a modern, welcoming style. The Al Capello Rosso claims to be the oldest hotel in Bologna, (if not Europe!) originally opened in 1375! It has many famous names amongst its past guests, especially from the Italian world of cinema! Guests are assured a friendly and helpful service and can also enjoy free entrance to the nearby beauty-farm which has a gym and various pampering services (at extra cost).
