Panorama is located close to Banff in the Kootenay Rockies in British Colombia. Panorama is a purpose built ski-in and ski-out resort offering good accommodation with all modern amenities. It has a small number of restaurants serving mainly traditional North American cuisine as well as fast food. With a handful of bars and one club with music and dance, Panorama is as relaxed by night as it is by day.

It is a relaxed purpose built resort that enjoys a friendly traditional atmosphere and attracts skiers and boarders of all ability levels. The ski area is vast as the Rockies Super Pass covers a wide terrain enabling you to ski in Banff, Lake Louise, Mount Norquay and Sunshine Village. Panorama has ten acres set aside for families with children. Known as the Horse Play Corral, it has gentle slopes where children as well as novices can gain confidence before moving on to the green and blue runs. Advanced and more experienced intermediate skiers can enjoy the bowls and the mogul runs including the Extreme Dream Zone and the Sun Bowl. Panorama is a great resort for boarders with two snow parks and a half pipe. Cross county skiers have twenty two kilometres of trails. The ski schools have an excellent reputation and take pupils from the age of four. Childcare facilities are available but since places are limited, early booking is recommended.
Panorama offers a good range of doorstep skiing accommodation which caters for most budgets. A small number of restaurants serve mainly traditional food and the handful of bars provide a relaxing nightlife. Shopping is limited to the supply of holiday essentials, sporting equipment and clothing.
Panorama, well named because of its stunning scenery, is a great choice for families and those looking for challenging skiing in a resort that is as relaxed by night as it is by day.
With only three bars and a nightclub, Panorama is not a party hotspot. It does however have a pleasant traditional après ski scene with night skiing with guides and slope-side hot tubs. A wagon tour ends around a roaring fire where supper is served followed by toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate, a favourite with families.
Panorama shopping is rather limited with stores supplying essential holiday provisions as well as sport’s equipment and clothing. There is also a small craft shop where you can purchase gifts and souvenirs.
