Les Menuires lies at an altitude of eighteen fifty metres in the Belleville Valley, one of the Three Valleys in the Savoire region of the French Alps. Dating from the sixties its high rise accommodation lacks the charm of other French villages and, perhaps because of this, holidays are cheaper and considered good value. Together with the other two valleys, the area offers six hundred kilometres of skiing that caters for every level from novice to expert. The varied terrain provides great conditions for snowboarding both in snow parks and on the slopes. An adequate supply of lifts gives easy access to the slopes. There are ski schools for all, including children from three years of age. Creche facilities exist for babies from six months if they have an up to date vaccination certificate.
